One of the most iconic motor racing chronographs ever created, the unique square dial of the Monaco was the housing for one of the first automatic chronographs in the world in 1969. Today the Monaco is still the flagship of the TAG Heuer brand. The original Calibre 11 movement, and this nod to the original, have the crown on the opposite (left) side of the case to remind us it does not actually have to be manually wound like the other chronographs of the day. This variant of the Monaco is the special Gulf Edition for the Gulf sponsored Porsche racing car, made famous by Steve McQueen in the movie Le Mans. In addition to its history, this piece captures your attention every time you look at it, both for the beautifully laid out sub-dials, starburst blue dial and the intricate pattern of the orange dial stripe. Regardless of what made you fall in love with the Monaco, it’s an incredible watch that any collector would give a nod of approval to.

This watch is pre-owned with very limited wear in the form of minor surface level hairline scratches on some of the high polish surfaces. Watch comes with box, instruction booklet, original receipt and authenticity card.
